This stunning work forms part of the genesis of Mitch's acclaimed 'Heatwave' series. When Mitch first began this series, he painted floating bodies in oil paint, suspending them over beachside objects like ice creams and blue bottles. In so doing, he animated a fragment of infinity, taking the viewer beyond the canvas and into the space of memory and of the past.
