High Noon - Original Artwork

The hottest part of the day, and nowhere better to be. This new work captures that heavy, blissful stillness of a beach afternoon at its peak — all burnt orange sand, lavender heat haze, and a sun sitting high and unapologetic in the sky.

'High Noon' is an original coastal painting by Mitchell English, where a lone figure lies stretched out on a yellow towel, pink striped bikini, thongs tossed to the side — completely surrendered to the warmth.

A bold, simplified palette and loose painterly marks give the work a sun-drenched dreaminess that feels at once deeply Australian and timelessly relaxed, continuing Mitch's exploration of the quiet, story-rich moments that make up a life spent near the coast.
