Beach Pop Art 

Mitchell English's 'Malibu' is about as delectable as a cold Coke. Playing with concepts of consumerism, hedonism and waste, this work is at once a celebration of the simplicity of the days when Coke was drunk without guilt, and also a comment on the detritus we make.

Originally shown at Deus Ex Machina in Canggu, Bali, as part of a solo exhibition 'Detritus'. Ironically, it was shown before Canggu was overrun with tourists—and detritus.
